All prepared for a big stew yesterday until I opened the contents --it seems the Butcher cant tell beef kidney from Pigs kidney.

I’m fortunate that there’s a proper butchers shop not far from our home and the meat’s far better than my wife used to get from the ‘supermarket’.

Mudgie- this was an established Butchers with 5 staff working there -in fact i have known the chap 40 years --the thing is the younger ones don't know what goes with what and they should know that pigs kidney does not go well with stewing beef. ::)

Yes, I despair at the youth of today, and doubt that they’ll be able to properly look after us ageing population in the years ahead.

I think every older person has said that in their time! I remember my grandfather saying that in the 50s!

We can discuss till the cows come home that doesn’t mean it’s wrong and that doesn’t mean that it is right but such deliberation doesn’t help us with online groceries.  ::)
