My book is now in the bookshop over in Wadebridge and I went in there today to sign the copies for them. :)

I wonder how many authors are married to each other and both have books published. Well done!
Harley Quin is a mystery. He appears and disappears unexpectedly and by strange tricks of light and reflections; making his clothes seem brightly multicoloured like the theatrical Harlequin.

Thanks, Harley.  I guess there must be quite a few husband and wife authors, actors, doctors etc etc.

Just thought I'd update you all on my book etc.  I am due from the 30th April, to give a few talks to a few schools in Cornwall now, the first one being quite local and I'm addressing around 200 children, or so I've just been informed! ;D

I've taken advice from a few people on a sort of public speak, so I'll just go with the flow of that day now, and so how I get on.  Thankfully, there are still a few weeks left to prepare. :)

Wow, that's great, Julie! I'm sure you'll do fine and learn as you go. You've got an excellent book there that you've written from the heart out of local knowledge, too and it's one I should think most young readers will really enjoy and they'll be genuinely interested to hear from a real published author. As I think I've already said, hopefully you'll inspire some of them to become authors as well!  :D

Thank you, Courtenay.  I have tried to plan and write down a few bullet points of interest to follow etc, but knowing me and the way I go off the trail it will probably all go out the window. ;D ;D

Julie, a veteran public speaker I know told me once the best speakers are those who speak the same way as you would talking to one person and as if you are having a conversation with them. If those children have already read your book ask them questions about it, ie, what or who was your favourite character, do you have a house similar to that described in the book?

Good luck Jane, do the publishers ever tell you how many books have been sold so far.
